David Brown tractors

Seen at a local agricultural fair a few years ago.  Beautiful tractors and beautiful restorations.  The rose badge reflected the Yorkshire roots of David Brown (represented by the white rose) and the Lancashire origins (red rose) of Harrison, McGregor and Company which was acquired by David Brown in 1955.

David Brown actually owned Aston Martin and Lagonda for a while.  Not the cars--the companies!  The Aston Martin DB series were featured in some of the James Bond movies.

In 1972, the tractor operations were sold to the American Tenneco Company which owned Case.

I actually have an early-70s David Brown 1212 tractor, but its condition is about as far from restored as you can get! Not much resemblance to an Aston-Martin either.
