The Princess Helene

Built on the River Clyde in Scotland and designed specifically for ferry service in the Bay of Fundy, the Princess Helene did the Saint John to Digby run for 33 years, ending in 1963.

An interesting feature of the Digby wharf was that the railway line ran right up to the end of the wharf, with passengers disembarking the ferry on one side and boarding the train on the other side.
