Nieuport II 1910

The first prototype of the Nieuport II, shown in 1910. The front portion of the fuselage was made of welded steel tubes, the tail- more conventionally- was framed in wood. It was powered by a 22 hp two cylinder Darracq engine for a top speed of 120 kph. About sixty were built.
